ASP.NET AJAX v1.0 Released

Today Scott Guthrie released the news about ASP.NET AJAX (formally known as Atlas).

Looks like they listen this time to improve the parts need it. For example to divide the it by modules, as for many products you don’t really going to use the whole platform, this way the download to the client is smaller and should perform faster.

The best news is the debugging support. The annoying alerts from JavaScript are out of the release. But how can VS2005 debug JavaScript? I need to see this!

A few weeks ago I was complaining about Atlas not been released. I guess the MS guys are reading my blog?

I downloaded the package this weekend and I played a little, I haven’t seen the debugging features yet, or any other improvement besides more controls and those were submitted by people outside Microsoft.

Not disappointed yet, but soon …
