Book review: An Inconvenient Truth.
Sorry about going off topic again, but last weekend I made time and I read! One of my favorite things to do that after my first child was born I rarely do. Finished reading the book An Inconvenient truth by Al Gore. Many years ago I read his first book "Earth in the Balance". The latest book is well written and well presented, more than a book is more like a power point presentation, each page resembles a slide with proof that the Global Warming is not an illusion rare than a fact and should be treated as a crisis instead of another topic for a politic debate.
Mr. Gore presents the facts well and while your reading the book you realize a few things that before I did not know. There is nothing I can do about global warming. Does not matter what changes I made, how much water and electricity I save. Does not matter if I drive a Hybrid or a motorcycle. Maybe the changes will alleviate some, but the bottom line is our leaders need to be in the same page and write the policies to drive these big changes into a way to avoid global warming. If our leaders avoid the subject will find soon ourselves into an state of alert.
Al Gore as well presented in the book with parts of this biography, important events in his life that helps the reader understand more the kind of person he is and why is as well so strongly believer in helping this crisis. Maybe every politic likes to add a few personal touches to their work and causes.
Al Gore gave a great speech, part of his presentation, to the United Nations. The way the leaders of the world are ignoring the problem, looks like history will proof Al Gore right.
If you are interested in this topic I personally like this web site California global warming reports.
Cheers
