Microsoft for some reason decided to release it to anybody that wants to look. There are a few things that while downloading makes me a little worried:

System Requirements

• Supported Operating Systems: Windows XP Service Pack 2

On Windows you will need:

• Windows XP SP2.
• Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2005.
• Perl 5.8.7 (available from http://aspn.activestate.com/ASPN/Downloads/ActivePerl/.)
• Archiving utility of choice—WinZip or other.
• 256 MB of memory.
• One gigabyte of free disk space.

I need Perl to compile the CLR? Are you as scare as I am? I really hope there is a good reason to install Perl besides to compile the CLR ;-) Maybe this explains the garbage collection.
