I have received lots of emails about an updated list for games for young children from people reading my 2007 list of games for kids for the Wii.

The Nintendo Wii, as if you are the owner of one, is the perfect game console for kids, easy to use and keeps them moving instead of sitting with sore thumbs.

I have been purchasing a few games or renting them from Blockbuster to find out what games my kids like. I am the proud father of a 5,3, 0.7 years old girls and they are my testers, my QA department consist of my 2 oldest.

The Wii in my house is not used for a few weeks and all the sudden, they start playing on a rainy day.

List of Games

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed : This game, maybe not the best for young kids, yet if you purchase the glow saber, you’ll get kids playing it!

Disney Princess: Enchanted Journey : My 5 years old daughter loves this game and is very easy to follow the story. A must have if you have girls! My 5 years old completed all the easy levels in 2 days, she got stuck on a adventure and lost interest. Maybe in a few months she’ll be able to try again.

Go Diego Go: Safari Rescue: Another adventure game that I found my kids getting bored after a while, I played myself to figure it out, and is too much repetition of events and movement.

Summary

Computer games are now an important part of a child development on this world of technology and computers, I have a computer set up for the kids to use, tech us them to use the mouse and a few little things that will be important when they start using the computer to write the school papers. Great way to start them is with Scott Hanselman’s Baby Smash
